The Cottage Cannonball Bed adds a touch of refinement to its stylish frame with ball finials. It is one of the many beds we offer in our coastal, country, painted and cottage bedroom furniture collections. Every piece in our Painted Cottage Furniture Collection is professionally hand-made and finished to order in the USA. Beds are made of high-grade poplar posts, recessed framed panels and self-locking side rail hardware to create an extremely solid and durable construction. In addition to standard bed frame sizes beds are available as headboards only, daybeds, XL bed frames or with under bed storage drawers or trundles.

You can build & price your cottage bed online by selecting the bed frame, size, panel design, footboard, under bed option, drawer knob and color which best fits your style and bedroom design. Headboard panel designs include traditional bead board, a wide board design, shiplap or a clean flat panel. The seven different knob options provide a nice range of design looks. In addition to our many standard options, custom sizes, custom headboard heights and custom footboard heights are available to fit any of your needs.

Offered in 70+ standard paint colors, the Cottage Cannonball Bed can also be finished with the custom color of your choice. Each finished piece involves a primer coat and two coats of a water based acrylic lacquer for a durable and lasting finish. For additional product details please see the specification tabs. Material	Posts, HB, FB, Side Rails: Premium Grade Poplar. Panel Framing: Premium Grade Poplar. Panels: Cabinet grade MDF. This is an engineered wood product made of wood fibers, wax and a resin binder formed into panels by applying high temperature and pressure. MDF is denser than plywood. Storage Drawer Box: Pine. Hardware: Self locking steel brackets attached to the side rails, headboard post and footboard post.
Color Options	Standard Colors: 76. All of the standard colors are shown in the build your own selections. Custom colors are available using either Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore paint colors. Please provide manufacturer, paint color number and paint name. Custom colors require an upcharge. Our paint is a commercial grade, low VOC, water based acrylic lacquer. The standard finish is a solid color with a low luster matte sheen. A premium 2 color rub finish is also available.
Details	Bed Posts: 3” square. Ball finial: 3” diameter Post cap: 3.75” square x .75” thick. The lamb's tongue groove on post is standard with bead board panels only. The post is not grooved when selecting the wide board, shiplap or flat board panels. Panel dimensions: Bead board – 3/8" bead, 1.5" spacing, Wide board – 1/4" groove, 5" spacing. T, F and Q headboard panels are a single panel. K panel include a center panel divider. Side Rails: The bottom of the side rail is set at 6” off the ground for a standard box spring setup and 12” off the ground for a platform setup. The side rail height from floor is adjustable and can be specified at the time of order. The bed slats sit on a 1” thick support lip which is glued and screwed to the bottom edge of the side rail. The height of the support lip is 1.5” above the bottom of the side rail. Side rails are attached to the HB and FB with self-locking hardware. Support Slats: Standard slat kit: Three 1" x 4" slats with one center support (full, queen) or 3 center supports (king). The actual thickness of the support slat is ¾”. The bottom of the box spring is 8.25” from the floor for a standard bed frame. Platform beds come with support slats and mattress decking eliminating the need for a box spring. Custom dimensions including width, depth, height, headboard height, footboard height and other requirements are available for an additional charge. Please contact us for a custom quote.
Underbed Drawers/Trundle	Under bed storage drawers are four corner English dovetail drawers with a solid hardwood drawer front and drawer boxes constructed of full dimension (3/4" thick) solid pine with 1/4" plywood bottom. Drawer boxes are sealed but not painted. Under Bed Drawers: Only available with 12"H side rails. T & F Drawers: drawer face = 37”W x 11"H, inside drawer box: standard = 32.5"W x 15"D x 8.5"H, deep = 32.5”W x 26”D x 8.5”H. Q & K Drawers: drawer face = 43”W x 11”H, inside drawer box: standard = 38.5"W x 15"D x 8.5"H, deep = 38.5”W x 26”D x 8.5”H. Drawers are on rollers. Trundle: Trundle front "drawer" sized to accommodate all size beds. Maximum trundle mattress height = 8".
