A beautiful blend of old, worn, and weathered pieces, along with crisp and clean architectural details, this elegant farmhouse dining room is truly unique. The rug has a faded quality to it that makes this room feel so loved and lived in. The rustic floors are a rich mahogany stain that is a great contrast to the stark white fireplace and chair railed walls, and the combination has a sharp effect on the room. The top has a chipped paint finish in a fantastic slate color, and the base is a handsome timber style trestle. It is such a unique piece, yet it blends right into the space.

This coastal cottage retreat was designed by one of our favorites, Sarah Richardson. Situated on the edge of an island, the cottage has wrap-around windows so you can enjoy the breathtaking view from any angle. Richardson is well known for her country flair, which is evident in many of her redesign projects, and can be seen here in the cabriole leg dining table and slat back dining chairs. The country accents are beautifully balanced with the more traditional coastal cottage decor, like the blue and ivory upholstery pieces.
