| Materials | Wood: Maple, solid wood and cabinet grade engineered panels. Maple: Brown Maple is derived from the center of various soft maple trees and is therefore commonly referred to as the "heart wood." Due to the variations in its soft maple origins, the color of Brown Maple can range in colors from medium brown to a light beige or tan color. Maple is often chosen for heavy-use items, like dressers and kitchen cabinets. Along with cherry, walnut, and oak, maple is considered to be among the favorite hardwood choices for furniture building. Maple is generally considered to be very durable, and attractive when properly finished. Brown Maple checks in on the Janka Hardness Scale with a rating of 950 and garners an overall hardness score of 6 out of 10. It is similar in hardness to Cherry. Tops, Legs, Posts, Rails, Feet, Frames: Maple and solid hardwood from North America. Sides, Shelves: Cabinet grade maple engineered panels from North America with environmentally friendly construction. Case Backs: ¼” All wood panels. Beadboard / Barn Board Bed Panels: MDF engineered panels. Drawer Boxes: Solid poplar side panels, dovetailed on all 4 corners, premium grade plywood bottoms. Sanded & stained. Drawer Glides: ¾" extension side mount ball bearing drawer glides on dressers and chests. Full-extension side mounted ball bearing drawer glides on nightstands and underbed storage drawers. Custom colors are available using either Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore paint colors. Please provide manufacturer, paint color number and paint name. Custom colors require an upcharge. All finishes are a solvent-based pre-catalyzed lacquer. This is a kitchen and bath grade finishing system with outstanding durability performance. Pre-catalyzed lacquers are premium quality lacquer designed for use in high traffic areas such as kitchen and bathroom woodwork. This single component catalyzed lacquer provides high water and mar resistance, and is recommended when extra durability is desired. Standard finishes include 2 paint coats and a clear top coat. All pieces are also available unfinished. |
| Measurements | Standard: the bottom of the side rails are 8” from the floor. The top of the slat system is 9.875” above the bottom of the floor. The slats are ¾” thick. The side rails are 6” high. Each side rail is locked into the HB post and the FB post and includes tightening screws. All slats have dovetail ends and lock into the side rail. F, Q and K beds include center supports with an height adjustable foot on 2 slats. Storage Rail Drawer Systems: Available for all beds. One or two drawer levels or end drawers. Storage rails available on both sides of the bed except twin size which is one side only. Single level of drawers: 12.75” from floor to top of support. End drawers: 22.5”D x 6.25”H. Twin: 1 drawer, 29.25’W. Full: 2 drawers, 19.625’W. Queen: 2 drawers, 23.25”W. King: 2 drawers, 31”W. We loan our wood, wicker & metal samples out free of charge; we ask that you return them so we can reuse them. Paper and fabric samples are yours to keep. Our floor cloth samples are available for a $25 deposit each, which is then refunded to you when we receive the sample(s) back. Sand Dune rug samples are available for a $50 deposit. Thank you!

Given the current market uncertainty, we felt it would be a good idea to provide you an update on our products. As you may know, we are a small, family-owned business that has been offering custom made furniture from our 15 US based workshops for over 20 years. Each of our custom furniture collections is made at a different workshop. We are a small business that supports other small businesses.
Fortunately for us, our workshops have minimal exposure to import tariffs. Our wood species (both new and reclaimed), iron beds, upholstery frames, seat cushions and floor cloths are all sourced in the US, as are most finishes and fabrics. Selective hardware, fabrics, and finishing products are imported but are a small percentage of our overall cost. Our wicker furniture frames are imported but cushions are all sourced in the US.
We do not anticipate any significant price changes due to import tariffs. We look forward to continuing to create unique furniture designed by you and custom built for you.
