This bittersweet palette boasts a perfect balance of cool and warm colors, sure to inspire coastal decorating ideas for your coastal cottage home. The splashy notes of coral and zesty lime are cooled off with a dose of soft seafoam. What’s wonderful about this palette is the versatility of the colors! You can emphasize the coral and the lime for a punchier look, or really play up the seafoam. Either way, the colors will create a harmonious atmosphere in any space.

Color Board: Mum’s Stripe

Fresh and fun, the Mum’s Stripe Woven Cotton Rug expertly mixes yellow, dark pink, soft orange, and even purple in it’s stripes. Choosing this colorful rug as a focal point in your living and family room is not meant for the faint at heart. We paired it with a yellow leather, a patterned fabric pulling in all colors, a nautical blue, and a little extra pattern in tangerine. These colors highlight the liveliness of the rug and will captivate your family and friends.

Rooms To Love: Cozy Daybed

What a lovely spot for a quiet afternoon! The dusty blues and roses are beautifully blended with pale creams and yellows to create a distinctive cottage look. The iron bed frame is a classic country style, and is tailored nicely with the quilted box cover. Adding the chipped painted mantle piece above the daybed is a great way to display old frames and pictures for a vintage flair.

Inspiration Board: Painted Brights

Who wouldn’t have fun with these colors? Eccentric, bright, and lively, you wouldn’t need to look for inspiration, motivation, or energy with these colors in your home. These colors, though vibrant, could easily be used in a bedroom. Simply pair the bright painted furniture with some neutrals to bring down the tone, while still allowing all colors to live and jive together in one area. The rug, a playful piece of decor, grounds all the pieces and becomes the focal point of the room.

To our valued customers,

Given the current market uncertainty, we felt it would be a good idea to provide you an update on our products. As you may know, we are a small, family-owned business that has been offering custom made furniture from our 15 US based workshops for over 20 years. Each of our custom furniture collections is made at a different workshop. We are a small business that supports other small businesses.

Fortunately for us, our workshops have minimal exposure to import tariffs. Our wood species (both new and reclaimed), iron beds, upholstery frames, seat cushions and floor cloths are all sourced in the US. Selective hardware, shoreline fabrics, and finishing products are imported but are a small percentage of our overall cost. Our wicker furniture frames are imported but cushions are all sourced in the US.

Currently, we have two collections affected by tariffs:

Cottage Wicker Furniture Collection: 6% Tariff
Shoreline Slipcovered Furniture Collection: 3% Tariff

We do not anticipate any significant price changes due to import tariffs. We look forward to continuing to create unique furniture designed by you and custom built for you.

Thank you,

Your Cottage Home Team
