The Importance of Porches
Decorate your outside “room” just like you would any indoor living space. First, decide how you will use it. Then develop a porch decorating plan.

Spring is an indisputably magic time of year, with its longer, warmer days, budding leaves and flowers, as well as cute baby animals and singing birds. But our favorite part of spring at Cottage Home Furniture is reclaiming a long-lost part of the home – your porch. What’s better than relaxing in a classic rocking chair and drinking in the fresh green landscape from your cottage porch after a winter of watching Netflix under a comforter? A well-appointed porch can serve as living room, office, den and even dining room in the warmer weather. #farmhouseporch #countrydecor #frontporch https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com
Spring’s signature color comes in all guises, from kelly green to moss to seafoam. As we celebrate the slow advent of Spring, we are showcasing a perfect cottage style porch graced by a rustic mint green planked farmhouse table. #greens #paintedfurniture #reclaimedtable www.cottagehomefurniture.com
We love the non-traditional look of this farmhouse trestle table surrounded by industrial chic seating. The architectural interest of the trestle base and the unexpectedly bright color of the table paired with the metallic chairs is going to start all kinds of conversation. #cottageporch #aquas #greens https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com
Few things refresh the psyche more than a refuge which offers access to nature with a feeling of sheltered comfort like a cottage style veranda or covered porch. #porches #whites #aquas #wicker https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com
As colder weather nears, we couldn’t decide whether we were more drawn to the idea of the comforts of indoors outside or the hallmarks of outdoors inside, so we married the two scenarios in our Rooms to Love. Equally appealing to the homebody in us all, the fireplaced farmhouse living room and lodge porch above both offer rusticity as well as small touches of welcome luxury. #cottagelivingroom #neutrals #rustic #lodgeporch https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com
The lull between the holidays and the first of spring can set the mind wandering to warmer climes and bright colors. In lieu of an island getaway, create an atmosphere of deep ocean waters and beachside margaritas with aqua, indigo and citrus green touches. #aquas #cottagerugs #blues #citrusgreen https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com/
Today’s color board is a kaleidoscope of colors that come together to make a bold statement. #cottagedecor #cottagestyle #cottagecolors #cottagefabrics #cottagerugs
To make this porch pop, a vibrant emerald green paint color is used all over. #lakehouse #lakehousedecor #lakehousefurniture #countryporch #countrydecor
Looking for a color palette that is whimsical, and exciting, yet soft and light? We have you covered! We love these colors, because they instantly create a cheery, feel good ambiance that exudes personality and creativity. #cottagecolors #coastalcolors #cottagestyle #cottagedecor
With the warm Spring weather comes the mud, and what better way to outfit a high traffic area, like your entryway, than with our Rope Sprout indoor/outdoor rug? #cottagedecor #cottagestyle #coastaldecor #coastalstyle #cottagecolors #coastalcolors www.cottagehomefurniture.com
To replicate the look we chose our favorite wicker garden set, which offers a high back chair for comfort and a table that can accommodate up to six people, if you have the space to entertain. #gardenfurniture #wickerdining #cottagedecor #patiodecor www.cottagehomefurniture.com

Given the current market uncertainty, we felt it would be a good idea to provide you an update on our products. As you may know, we are a small, family-owned business that has been offering custom made furniture from our 15 US based workshops for over 20 years. Each of our custom furniture collections is made at a different workshop. We are a small business that supports other small businesses.
Fortunately for us, our workshops have minimal exposure to import tariffs. Our wood species (both new and reclaimed), iron beds, upholstery frames, seat cushions and floor cloths are all sourced in the US, as are most finishes and fabrics. Selective hardware, fabrics, and finishing products are imported but are a small percentage of our overall cost. Our wicker furniture frames are imported but cushions are all sourced in the US.
We do not anticipate any significant price changes due to import tariffs. We look forward to continuing to create unique furniture designed by you and custom built for you.
