Rooms To Love: Delightful Cottage Kitchen

This darling cottage kitchen is the perfect size for a weekend getaway. It offers the essentials without any unneeded extras cluttering the small space. The backdrop of all white allows the pastel color palette to pop and draws your eye immediately to the arrangement of polka dots, florals, fabric collages, and painted furniture. The use of lateral and longitudinal boards on the walls, floors, and ceilings emphasize the structure to visually create a larger space. The drop leaf table is a perfect solution for a tight kitchen and saves on space until in use.

Color Board: Blissful Blue & Subtle Sage

These blissful blues and subtle sages create a calming and serene palette, and would work beautifully in a cottage master bedroom. Linens are a luxurious fabric for the bedroom, as long as no one is too hung up on wrinkles! The natural texture and weight of these fabrics lend themselves to an upscale, yet comfortable, scheme as they tend to look worn in and relaxed. Using tan and taupe fabrics for the backdrop creates a versatile foundation to build from, and blends nicely with the other earth tones. Pair these fabrics with white painted pieces, and glass lighting fixtures, to create a romantic and soothing ambiance.

The white slipcovered loveseat with high flared arms sets the tone for this beach bungalow. The crisp white fabric plays beautifully with the floor-to-ceiling windows, which allows the sunlight to pour into the room. Pops of color are scattered to offset the light to ensure the room maintains balance. The blend of bold colored accents immediately takes you to a beach landscape with the aquas mimicking the ocean and the oranges evoking a brilliant summer sunset.

Rooms To Love: Rustic Dining Charm

Balance and symmetry are key elements in this lodge dining room, not only in the architecture, but the furnishings as well. Symmetrical vaulted beams set the tone for a dramatic dining room and give the opportunity for additional natural lighting. Sconces flank the large central window to frame the over-sized wrought iron chandelier perfectly, and all three lighting elements are made of heavy duty materials adding to the rustic charm.

To our valued customers,

Given the current market uncertainty, we felt it would be a good idea to provide you an update on our products. As you may know, we are a small, family-owned business that has been offering custom made furniture from our 15 US based workshops for over 20 years. Each of our custom furniture collections is made at a different workshop. We are a small business that supports other small businesses.

Fortunately for us, our workshops have minimal exposure to import tariffs. Our wood species (both new and reclaimed), iron beds, upholstery frames, seat cushions and floor cloths are all sourced in the US. Selective hardware, shoreline fabrics, and finishing products are imported but are a small percentage of our overall cost. Our wicker furniture frames are imported but cushions are all sourced in the US.

Currently, we have two collections affected by tariffs:

Cottage Wicker Furniture Collection: 6% Tariff
Shoreline Slipcovered Furniture Collection: 3% Tariff

We do not anticipate any significant price changes due to import tariffs. We look forward to continuing to create unique furniture designed by you and custom built for you.

Thank you,

Your Cottage Home Team
