Living & Family Rooms

When decorating a living room consider first, how often do you use your living room? Is it reserved for company or does it get everyday use? If you do a lot of formal entertaining, you’ll approach the design of your living room differently than if it is the center of your family life.

Inspiration Board: Shades of Green

Green is often used like a neutral color to balance a room since certain shades of green, such as soft sage, can go with almost any other color. How can you overlook Mother Nature’s use of color as a source of inspiration? Green has also said to have meditative qualities. #cottagefurniture #decoratingwithgreen #inspirationboards #cottagestyle https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com

To our valued customers,

Given the current market uncertainty, we felt it would be a good idea to provide you an update on our products. As you may know, we are a small, family-owned business that has been offering custom made furniture from our 15 US based workshops for over 20 years. Each of our custom furniture collections is made at a different workshop. We are a small business that supports other small businesses.

Fortunately for us, our workshops have minimal exposure to import tariffs. Our wood species (both new and reclaimed), iron beds, upholstery frames, seat cushions and floor cloths are all sourced in the US. Selective hardware, shoreline fabrics, and finishing products are imported but are a small percentage of our overall cost. Our wicker furniture frames are imported but cushions are all sourced in the US.

Currently, we have two collections affected by tariffs:

Cottage Wicker Furniture Collection: 6% Tariff
Shoreline Slipcovered Furniture Collection: 3% Tariff

We do not anticipate any significant price changes due to import tariffs. We look forward to continuing to create unique furniture designed by you and custom built for you.

Thank you,

Your Cottage Home Team
