We are knee deep in snow and more is on the way here in Maine, so for today’s rooms to love we chose a cottage style porch to help us banish our winter blues!  This beautiful porch is just a snippet from a stunning home located on Muskoka’s Lake Rosseau in Ontario, Canada. What we love about this cottage style porch, besides the view through the panoramic windows, is the mixture of whites used to create an uninterrupted feeling throughout the space.  The stark white floors, ceilings, and trim all create a crisp and clean backdrop, while the furniture is more weathered and distressed for a lived-in feel.  Classic navy blue brings a nautical feel to the space, which is the perfect color for cushions to help hide the dirt and spills that are inevitable in a sitting area.
