Rooms to Love: Easy Elegance #diningrooms #casualelegance #cottagedecor #roomstolove http://distinctblog.wpengine.com/

Image: Style Me Pretty Living

A beautiful blend of old, worn, and weathered pieces, along with crisp and clean architectural details, this elegant farmhouse dining room is truly unique.  The rug has a faded quality to it that makes this room feel so loved and lived in.  The rustic floors are a rich mahogany stain that is a great contrast to the stark white fireplace and chair railed walls, and the combination has a sharp effect on the room.  One of the most impressive elements in this space, even though it may be subtle, is the two tone dining table.  The top has a chipped paint finish in a fantastic slate color, and the base is a handsome timber style trestle.  It is such a unique piece, yet it blends right into the space.

The combination of slipcovered head chairs, wood side chairs, and a singular bench all sit at this one table.  How do you feel about eclectic chairs at your table?

To our valued customers,

Given the current market uncertainty, we felt it would be a good idea to provide you an update on our products. As you may know, we are a small, family-owned business that has been offering custom made furniture from our 15 US based workshops for over 20 years. Each of our custom furniture collections is made at a different workshop. We are a small business that supports other small businesses.

Fortunately for us, our workshops have minimal exposure to import tariffs. Our wood species (both new and reclaimed), iron beds, upholstery frames, seat cushions and floor cloths are all sourced in the US. Selective hardware, shoreline fabrics, and finishing products are imported but are a small percentage of our overall cost. Our wicker furniture frames are imported but cushions are all sourced in the US.

Currently, we have two collections affected by tariffs:

Cottage Wicker Furniture Collection: 6% Tariff
Shoreline Slipcovered Furniture Collection: 3% Tariff

We do not anticipate any significant price changes due to import tariffs. We look forward to continuing to create unique furniture designed by you and custom built for you.

Thank you,

Your Cottage Home Team
