Rooms to Love: Set Sail

This amazing nautical bunk room is a kid’s dream bedroom! The imaginative design creates a world for kids to play, sleep, and dream all about sailing the open seas. The color palette is a calm collection of periwinkle, aqua, navy, white, and ivory with the most beautiful pale oak wood flooring. The denim colored wide board planks on the wall sets a dramatic backdrop for the space, and has just the right amount weathered finish to set the stage for the captains bow.

How did you make the blue denim boards on the walls by the bunk beds? I would love to do this in my beach house.

We didn’t design this room, we just love the look! I’m not sure how the denim look was achieved on the walls – maybe weathered paint?
