Rooms to Love: White Cottage Christmas

Rooms to Love: White Cottage Christmas #whitechristmas #cottagechristmas https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com/

Do you feel like keeping all the familiar traditions of the holiday but making a change to keep this special time fresh and exciting?  Well, red and green called and they can’t make it this year.  Explore white, a great choice for holiday decorating, especially if you find yourself somewhere without a snowy forecast.

White, if done right, will warm the heart rather than bring on a chill. The living room above with its rustic light wood walls comes quietly alive amidst the mix of soft neutrals. Using subtle variations of tint as well as a profusion of different textures is the key to making things cozy. Ornaments in ivory, linen and snow white mixed together will create subtle depth and interest. Mix white textiles with abandon: pair beaded and brocade stockings, silky tree skirts, cable knit throws and lacy pillows — you can go for a bit of gold fringe if you want to indulge. Even white paper China balls that have little affiliation with the holidays fall in line with the color scheme and add to the festive mix.

To our valued customers,

Given the current market uncertainty, we felt it would be a good idea to provide you an update on our products. As you may know, we are a small, family-owned business that has been offering custom made furniture from our 15 US based workshops for over 20 years. Each of our custom furniture collections is made at a different workshop. We are a small business that supports other small businesses.

Fortunately for us, our workshops have minimal exposure to import tariffs. Our wood species (both new and reclaimed), iron beds, upholstery frames, seat cushions and floor cloths are all sourced in the US, as are most finishes and fabrics. Selective hardware, fabrics, and finishing products are imported but are a small percentage of our overall cost. Our wicker furniture frames are imported but cushions are all sourced in the US.

We do not anticipate any significant price changes due to import tariffs. We look forward to continuing to create unique furniture designed by you and custom built for you.

Thank you,

Your Cottage Home Team
