Elements like the old barn wood flooring, the stone hearth, and built in cabinetry are features found in traditional Colonial homes and preserve the original character of the kitchen. Whereas the modern amenities, like the marble counter tops, beadboard ceiling design, and crisp white cabinetry are exquisitely layered into the overall design for a high end look. #farmhousedecor #countrydecor #cottagedecor #traditionaldecor #casualdecor #heirloomtable #farmhousetables www.cottagehomefurniture.com

The open, airy space of this living room lends itself to a naturally coastal feel. A mix of formal leather chairs and a casual slipcovered sofa is a unique way to mix up the style in a room. We love the bright pops of color through the coffee table and accessories. And always remember – a fun grouping of accessories immediately livens a room!

A traditional style farmhouse dining room that is set above the rest with crisp, clean, white elements. The overstuffed white host chairs bring in a casual feel to the more formal dining room chairs and table. The rich mahogany finish creates a stark contrast to the crisp white elements of the plush chairs, wainscoting, and framed ceiling. The large French doors allow the light to pour in creating an indoor/outdoor dining setting. The botanical prints and greenery accents also help to bring the outdoors in.

Adding touches of red to a cottage living room can be an inspired decorating move, but can also daunt those who think that the color necessarily invokes boldness. Soft reds are a compromise between creating warmth and overpowering the senses. #cottagelivingroom #brickhearth #redaccents https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com/

Spring is an indisputably magic time of year, with its longer, warmer days, budding leaves and flowers, as well as cute baby animals and singing birds. But our favorite part of spring at Cottage Home Furniture is reclaiming a long-lost part of the home – your porch. What’s better than relaxing in a classic rocking chair and drinking in the fresh green landscape from your cottage porch after a winter of watching Netflix under a comforter? A well-appointed porch can serve as living room, office, den and even dining room in the warmer weather. #farmhouseporch #countrydecor #frontporch https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com

Serenity abounds in this beach house sitting room with an expansive water view. White fabric and gleaming tiles play against the warm earthen brown tones of the rustic wooden fireplace hearth and wrapped twig chairs. Incorporating elements such as a jute rug and rattan furniture along with a cottage slipcovered sofa can help to create a coastal yet slightly exotic decor. #beachhouse #coastallivingroom #sittingroom https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com

Sometimes we yearn for a seasonless space in our home that hints at, yet transcends, every time of year – a sanctuary for the days when we try to rush winter into spring but know that we still have a way to go. To help soothe mid-winter moods, pick one room in your cottage home to host a neutral palette free of signature seasonal colors. Back up this fresh new look with a variety of transitional textures evoking both warm and cold weather months to help bridge the seasons. #neutrals #cottagestudy #granitefireplace #reclaimedbarnwood https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com

Use of a unifying color scheme and some clever hybrid items create a unique and easy compatibility among differing decor styles. Navy and white chevron throw pillows bring to mind ship signal flags, but can also fit with a southwestern style rug’s primitive design. A wood and rope chandelier bridges industrial and nautical elements in any room. Go ahead and showcase a mix of rarely-linked decor sensibilities. #bluebedrooms #nauticaldecor #industrial https://www.cottagehomefurniture.com

Creating meals is more than enjoyable when your kitchen is light, bright and trimly stocked with everything you need within handy reach. Don’t shy away from displaying fresh and essential herbs, fruits and veggies in your kitchen, like a way station between your victory garden and your dining table. #cottagekitchens #farmhousekitchen #barnboard #subwaytile www.cottagehomefurniture.com

Spring’s signature color comes in all guises, from kelly green to moss to seafoam. As we celebrate the slow advent of Spring, we are showcasing a perfect cottage style porch graced by a rustic mint green planked farmhouse table. #greens #paintedfurniture #reclaimedtable www.cottagehomefurniture.com

Life in an apartment or an urban space can still hold the charm of a country cottage when elements such as white painted barnboard walls and unfinished wood floors are given free rein. Displaying everyday staples such as crusty bread, terra cotta vessels and bottles of wine on unfinished shelves taps into a comfortingly familiar utilitarian beauty. #cottagediningroom #pastels #whites #built-ins www.cottagehomefurniture.com
Given the current market uncertainty, we felt it would be a good idea to provide you an update on our products. As you may know, we are a small, family-owned business that has been offering custom made furniture from our 15 US based workshops for over 20 years. Each of our custom furniture collections is made at a different workshop. We are a small business that supports other small businesses.
Fortunately for us, our workshops have minimal exposure to import tariffs. Our wood species (both new and reclaimed), iron beds, upholstery frames, seat cushions and floor cloths are all sourced in the US. Selective hardware, shoreline fabrics, and finishing products are imported but are a small percentage of our overall cost. Our wicker furniture frames are imported but cushions are all sourced in the US.
Currently, we have two collections affected by tariffs:
Cottage Wicker Furniture Collection: 6% Tariff
Shoreline Slipcovered Furniture Collection: 3% Tariff
We do not anticipate any significant price changes due to import tariffs. We look forward to continuing to create unique furniture designed by you and custom built for you.
