We love this welcoming farmhouse style dining room for its laid back atmosphere, and fresh clean look.  A key element to a cozy dining room is to provide your family and guests with comfortable seating.  Here they chose three different styles of seating for an eclectic and gathered look, but all have one thing in common, they all have cushioned seats. Using parsons or wicker chairs instead of wooden chairs can make for a more pleasant dining experience.  They tend to have a wider seat, higher back, and cushioned seat allowing more room to really get comfortable!  You may feel skeptical of using white fabric on the chairs, but having the pieces slipcovered makes cleaning a breeze.

What is your favorite style dining room chair?

To our valued customers,

Given the current market uncertainty, we felt it would be a good idea to provide you an update on our products. As you may know, we are a small, family-owned business that has been offering custom made furniture from our 15 US based workshops for over 20 years. Each of our custom furniture collections is made at a different workshop. We are a small business that supports other small businesses.

Fortunately for us, our workshops have minimal exposure to import tariffs. Our wood species (both new and reclaimed), iron beds, upholstery frames, seat cushions and floor cloths are all sourced in the US. Selective hardware, shoreline fabrics, and finishing products are imported but are a small percentage of our overall cost. Our wicker furniture frames are imported but cushions are all sourced in the US.

Currently, we have two collections affected by tariffs:

Cottage Wicker Furniture Collection: 6% Tariff
Shoreline Slipcovered Furniture Collection: 3% Tariff

We do not anticipate any significant price changes due to import tariffs. We look forward to continuing to create unique furniture designed by you and custom built for you.

Thank you,

Your Cottage Home Team
